ONLINE SAFETY: Protecting Students, Staff, and Systems

Tuesday - 2:50pm in 103A

SUMMARY: Phishing attempts, student device vulnerabilities, and slow networks during testing are challenges every school faces. Addressing them requires more than quick fixes—it takes a clear plan, consistent practices, and awareness of how technology impacts teaching and learning. This session will share strategies for strengthening online safety in schools, including creating a technology plan, establishing safe practices for student accounts and devices, and responding effectively to unexpected issues. Participants will leave with practical steps to improve the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of their school’s technology environment.
